Trail Report for Thursday, March 24, 2011:

EXCELLENT SPRING SKIING ON RECENTLY RENOVATED TRAILS.

Kingswood Park: Renovated and track set on Wednesday, March 23.  Conditions are good to excellent for skate and classic. Nordic terrain park is still open! Take advantage of the longer days and enjoy some Spring skiing.

Sturgeon Road: Renovated and track set on Wednesday, March 23.  Conditions are good to excellent for skate skiing and classic. NOTE: Due to construction at the sewage pumping station at the corner of Sturgeon Road and Churchill Ave. XC ski traffic to and from Kingswood Park to Sturgeon Road is redirected to the walking path that follows along the river. The City will not be sweeping this section of the walking path from Kingswood Park shelter to the Woodlands crosswalk. STANSKI will be packing the walkway and making it a multi-use trail. Skiers are requested to respect pedestrians on this section.

Riverlot 56 Natural Area: Lower and upper RL 56 was renovated and track set on Wednesday, March 23. Conditions are good to excellent for classic skiing. 3m trail width with single track only.

Trail Report for Wednesday, March 23, 2011:
